Building upon the first-ever MORE Winter Session organized for February, an additional 50 class slots are arranged from mid-March through mid-May. In another first, 16 of these classes will be conducted in April at a new location on Macomb Community College’s South Campus, answering a longstanding request for some MORE classes to be held in southern Macomb County. This venue T-191 is located in a newly renovated building with close-in parking, ideal for the MORE program. Otherwise, classes will continue to be held at the MORE home base at the University Center (UC) building, Center Campus.

The March segment includes such diverse subjects as religion, gardening, and a policy forecast and analysis of the second Trump administration. April features topics on automotive history, music, a fascinating new class on the making of two iconic films, and a repeat of the very popular Harsen’s Island class. The May segment, conducted back at the UC, kicks off with a live band concert and, in addition to other classes, special events including a Poverty Simulation seminar, and a tour of the famous Mt. Elliot Cemetery in Detroit.

Class packages duplicate those very well received in the fall 2024 program:

• Three-class package for first-time attendees only ($30);
• Seven- or ten-class packages ($56 or $75); and
• Unlimited-class package for $120.

The three-class package is open to first-time attendees at any time, or established attendees beginning with registrations made after April 1.

Altogether, the 50 classes represent 11 different subject categories with half of them all new and another quarter revised—keeping program offerings fresh while also repeating those most in popular demand.

Registration for the MORE program is easy–just pick out your classes and fit them into one of the package options above, then go to www.LorenzoCulturalCenter.com and select the MORE tab for online registration. For specific help, call the MORE program assistant at 586.226.4903 as shown on the opposite page. In addition, there is a detailed description of MORE registration practices and related policies on page 2.

Please join us as we continue the MORE adventure for seniors, now entering its second decade of community service!

If a class or event you are interested in is sold out and you would like to be added to the waiting list, please call 586.226.4903 or email MORE@macomb.edu.
