Instructor: Meghan Mott
As part of MORE's continuing focus on Michigan writers of note, this class on Jim Harrison highlights his career as a poet, novelist, essayist and screenwriter. Included will be video scenes from movies made based on his writings, such as "Legends of the Fall." Mr. Harrison evokes images of Ernest Hemmingway, with both writers having styles born of life in northern Michigan, and in fact many of Harrison's works are set in rural areas such as Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Whether you are interested in storytelling, writing or local history, MORE attendees are sure to find this class to be compelling.
